Paramedical Services

The objective of our Paramedical Services is to create an integrated partnership with our Clients to provide expert pre-hospital Paramedical service.  One of the main focuses for ER24 is to deliver a professionally high standard of patient care no matter what the time of day or where the incident may have occurred.  We also have a strong belief that best practices should be utilised in all situations. We at ER24 pride ourselves in continually improving our patient care delivery and maintaining best practices in our clinical focus.

Quality Assurance is met through set protocols and with the backing of the International Quality Benchmarking Authority ISO9001, in this, ER24 surpasses industry standards and we are at the forefront of Clinical Governance Framework. As a company, we strive to create and maintain a close integrated working relationship, to facilitate a team focus between all emergency response groups, health & safety members as well as the site itself.

ER24 is backed by the vast knowledge of their medical advisory panel, which is made up of Emergency Medical Specialists and Medical Superintendents.

Medical Treatment

All ER24 Paramedics scope of medical treatment meets and/or exceeds the specific State or Territory Ambulance Service in Australia. Specifically in the administration of scheduled drugs with or without the need of medical consultation.

Roles + Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Pre-Hospital Care treatment, stabilisation and evacuation;
  • Supporting the Health & Safety team under their direction in health & well-being programs as well as preventative injuries;
  • Provide leadership in the Emergency Response Team with regards to emergency prevention;
  • An overriding commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Community;
  • Respond to emergencies such as medical, firefighting and rescue as required;
  • Ensure conformance with the client’s charter, code of conduct and relevant statutory obligations;
  • Maintenance and Testing of Emergency Rescue equipment and vehicles;
  • Drug and Alcohol testing;
  • Conduct nationally accredited First Aid courses.
Clinical Governance

All ER24 Paramedics are AHPRA certified and governed by the extensive Clinical Practice Guidelines that we operate under with ‘best practice’ principles. Our experienced ER24 Paramedics are able to perform advanced medical procedures such as compromised airways, intravenous access, cardiac monitoring and defibrillation.

All of our Policies, Procedures and Drug Protocols have been fully endorsed and approved by our Medical Director and certified by the Drugs and Poisons Policy and Regulation Health Units in every State or Territory in which we operate.

Patient Care

ER24 Paramedics are specialists in their field and are experienced, qualified and highly trained to deal with patients in all aspects of acute emergency care. Our training is measured against the national standards and best practice in a wide range in all areas of drug therapy interventions with advanced skills and techniques.

All ER24 Paramedics are AHPRA certified and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relative State or Government agencies. This includes pre-hospital emergencies in both the medical and trauma fields as well as experience in Intensive Care, Trauma  and Aeromedical retrieval situations. As experienced pre-hospital care clinicians ER24 Paramedics have the ability to assist in the formation of emergency protocols in conjunction with the existing disaster management plans on individual client sites.

Toolbox Talks

ER24 provide scheduled Toolbox talks with health related information tailored to the clients needs.  Informative and content specific topics that are delivered in a 5 or 10 minute window which is ideal for pre-start and safety meetings.

Example of specific sessions are; hydration, diabetes, hypertension and drug usage.  These examples are only a small selection of what we offer to our clients with Emergency Rescue Officers on each site that have professional knowledge of content. We strive to reduce LTI’s and the frequency of incidents through performing preventative health and well-being talks.

Risk Assessments

Ability to offer specialised trained staff that can complete JSA, SAO’s and Take 5’s.  Staff are experienced in completing this media conforming to resource, oil, gas, mining and construction industry requirements.

As an experienced company in providing health and safety services, this provides a perfect backdrop for quality, ensuring that best outcome for the worker is achieved.  Our ability to oversee emergency situations providing expert  knowledge in assessing risk and emergency planning is value added to all Health & Safety departments.
