ER24 Security Services employees are dedicated to providing exemplary service and are committed to accomplishing their daily duties with diligence and professionalism. Our staff are highly skilled professionals with many years of experience in the field of Security and ER24 has a minimum standard for all our Security staff to have completed the basic First Aid training certificate. We ensure that we meet our client’s expectations in accordance with their scope of work and offer them a cost effective ‘value for money’ service, delivered by trained professionals within a specified time frame.

Roles + Responsibilities
  • To ensure vehicle, equipment, personnel and site compliance to help maintain optimal security and safety in and around the mine sites;
  • To conduct and assist evacuations, emergencies and disasters;
  • To conduct perimeter, building and all assets physical inspections as well as ongoing security education of workers to ensure a safe, secure and compliant workplace;
  • Site inductions and orientating workers for site specific inductions;
  • Conformance with the client’s charter, code of conduct and relevant statutory obligations;
  • Respond to emergencies such as medical and rescue as required;
  • Provide leadership in emergencies in regards to security and control of emergency site;
  • Prohibitive and Protective Substances checks to ensure compliancy;
  • Supporting the Health & Safety department as directed;
  • Drug and Alcohol testing.
Control of Access for Personnel and Equipment to Site

The Security Officer control for access to sites ensures that only people and equipment who are competent, authorised, and ‘Fit for Work’ can gain access to site. This is made possible through the combination of physical infrastructure (e.g. roads, site access centres and turnstiles) trained security officer, access cards, and a secure site access computer system.

Traffic Surveillance

ER24 Security Services employees provide excellence in detection and recording of speed infringements on and around Sites. Trained Security Officers conduct traffic observation and speed detection operations as per skill obtained in ER24 specialised training. Once a speed infringement has been detected on a particular vehicle all detail is completed on the ER24 Speed Infringement Log, which is reported onto clients.

Fire Extinguisher Checks

ER24 Security staff are qualified to check to level 1 and 2 standards on all fire extinguishers. They have the ability to check and maintain portable fire extinguishers up to and including 9KG fire extinguishers on site.

Drug & Alcohol Testing

All ER24 Security Staff are authorized under the Australian Standard to conduct Drug & Alcohol testing to industry standard. This includes but is not limited to: collating data, providing health advice and hydration requirements to staff on each visit as well as entering into FPe for reporting to the Health & Safety department.

Site Compliance Checks

Provide random vehicle compliance checks to ensure vehicles on sites meet industry standards. Conducting vehicle checks at front gate including site visitor inductions and printing of vehicle compliancy stickers.  Assess whether all prohibitive and protective equipment meets industry standards as well as arranging and completing escort documentation and ensuring vehicles are site compliant.
