Emergency Rescue Services
All of our ER24 Emergency Rescue Personnel meet the physical and skill standards required for Site Rescue. In support of the sites rescue model, ER24 provides a dedicated Nationally Accredited Rescue Trainer as part of the services delivered. ER24 commits to maintaining all rescue skills, as part of our ongoing skills maintenance program by internal scheduled training and skill maintenance with our dedicated Nationally Accredited Trainer.
ER24 Rescue Service will maintain a centralized system for Emergency Rescue Officers,and ensure that there is open communication between all on-site stakeholders. They will assist in strategically steering the entire group to ensure all the necessary skills maintenance and re-certifications are achieved in accordance with current rescue standards.
Roles + Responsibilities
- Ensure conformance with the client’s charter, code of conduct and relevant statutory obligations;
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, well-being, environment and community;
- Respond to emergencies such as medical, firefighting and rescue as required;
- Provide leadership in the Emergency Response Team with regards to emergency prevention, and preparedness to response and recovery;
- Maintenance and testing of emergency rescue equipment and vehicles;
- Supporting the Health & Safety department as directed;
- Drug & Alcohol testing;
- Provide technical support to all levels of staff on emergency response and safety;
- Assist in the administration of site confined space risk assessments;
- Develop and maintain site emergency management plans, procedure and counter disaster management plans;
- Onsite co-ordination of all emergency rescue and evacuation incidents on and off site as required.
Rescue Plans
All ER24 Emergency Rescue Officers are able to provide advice and write rescue plans for the site. The experience + knowledge of our emergency rescue officers will be an asset to the Health & Safety department.
Alarm Response
ER24 Emergency Rescue Officers have the ability to respond to alarm activations on site as directed by the authorized H&S supervisor. Ability to operate fire indication panels to determine the area and cause for alarm activation.
Drug & Alcohol Testing
All ER24 Emergency Rescue Officers are authorized under the Australian Standard to conduct Drug & Alcohol testing to industry standard. This includes and is not limited to: collating data, providing health advice and hydration requirements to staff on each visit as well as entering into FPe for reporting to the Health & Safety department.
First Aid Kits
ER24 Emergency Rescue Officers are trained to inspect and tag first aid kits to ensure contents and expiry of materials meet site standards. Regular inspections and reports are completed to ensure compliancy in this area is managed.
Safety Training
ER24 Emergency Rescue Officers have the ability to provide on-site training in the following fields:
- Confined Space
- Hot Works
- Lifting Gear
- Fire Fighting
- Road Crash Rescue
With Nationally accredited qualifications the Emergency Rescue Officers have the necessary skills to manage such an incident on site. With the benefit of RTO qualified trainers on our team to provide continual maintenance, ER24 ensures all staff are highly trained and at the forefront of any emergency situation at the site.
