Training Department

ER24 work to create an integrated partnership with our clients to provide expert security/emergency response teams, paramedical and nursing services. Our aim is to be proactive in safety awareness, site injury minimization and assist in health promotion through our links with ER24 Paramedical Services and ER24 Medical Officers. We strive to promote safety in and around the workplace and link this effort to ongoing First Aid training sessions for all employees and to promote the best possible recovery of patients on site.

ER24 has an integrated partnership with Pararescue Training Pty Ltd to provide ongoing professional development skills maintenance for all our staff and clients from training in a wide range of First Aid courses, Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue and Emergency Rescue courses.

ER24 aspires to the vision of ‘Zero Harm’ in the workplace and community and our focus at ER24 is to deliver a professionally high standard of patient care, regardless of the time or place of the incident. We believe that ‘best practice’ must be utilized and pride ourselves in continuously improving our patient care delivery and our clinical focus. Quality assurance is met through set protocols and an internal audit process through the ER24 Clinical Governance Framework which is reviewed and endorsed by our Clinical Focus Group and State Health Departments.

ER24 personnel are able to deal with patients in all aspects of emergency care and are highly trained, as measured against the national standards and have a wide range of experience with all drug therapy interventions in conjunction with advanced skills and techniques.

Roles + Responsibilities
  • Development and maintenance of the clinical governance framework that meets and or exceeds the State and Territory Ambulance Services in Australia;
  • Implementation of a registration model for Paramedics including in-house advanced medical enhancements such as intraosseous and chest decompression;
  • Auditing of Quality Management Systems and Clinical Case Audits;
  • The co-ordination and delivery of courses such as Occupational First Aid and Low Voltage Rescue;
  • Provide clinical advice on real time patient treatment and drug consultation;
  • Development of prospective best practice techniques in the pre-hospital care field.
Patient Documentation

All ER24 patient documentation, advanced medical procedures + medical officers in training providers are subject to the ER24 advisory group clinical governance framework.

ER24 Clinical Focus Group

The ER24 Clinical Focus Group is made up of the ER24 Senior Clinical Consultant (Paramedic 4), 2 x specific site experienced GP’s, an Emergency Medicine Physician (FACEM) and a Medical Officer with experience as a Director of Accident & Emergency in a major regional hospital.

This group continually undertake research and development in the treatment rationales for pre-hospital care to ensure ER24 is at the cutting edge of health care in the industrial sector.

Advanced Medical Procedures

Our experienced ER24 Paramedics are able to perform advanced medical procedures such as compromised airways, intravenous access, cardiac monitoring and defibrillation.

All of our Policies/Procedures, Clinical Practice Guidelines and Drug Protocols have been fully endorsed and approved by our Clinical Focus Group and certified by the Drugs and Poisons Policy and Regulation Unit of the State Health Departments where we provide services.

Medical Officers + Training Providers

Our medical officers and training providers work together to ensure Paramedics, Nurses, Security and Emergency Response team officers deliver care in accordance with the worldwide health care theme of ‘best practice’, along with quality First Aid training for all of our clientele.
